Rozhen National Astronomical Observatory is the largest operating scientific complex in astrophysics in Southeast Europe. Located in the Rhodopes on Rozhen peak with 1750m above sea level about 25 km from the town of Smolyan. A visitor center, a lecture hall, and a museum collection have been built. Under the dome of the 2-meter telescope, talks and demonstrations are held for individual and organized tourists.
